Inspired by the Dodge Super Bee (an imitation of Plymouth’s Road Runner, sharing the same mid-sized “B” body), the Dodge Ram Rumble Bee was made during 2004 and 2005 in limited numbers; it had a standard Hemi, 3.92:1 rear end, and “bee stripe” with Scat Pack logos. Primarily an appearance package, the roughly 8,700 Rumble Bees had no added performance over similar Rams.
It appears that the Rumble Bee will return, but with at least one added feature and possibly more extensive graphics than the original. These images were released by Ram Truck today, and the concept itself will appear at 10 am on August 17 at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
The Rumble button is a new touch, and could indicate a sport mode for the transmission, a subsonic engine note augmenter, an active subwoofer or… join the discussion to speculate.
