Ram has, as Allpar predicted in September 2011, announced its new bi-fuel Ram 2500 pickup with a Hemi V8 capable of running on either gasoline or compressed natural gas (CNG).
GM and Roush (for Ford) recently announced bifuel pickups in the same capacity range.
According to Allpar’s report from September 2011, the CNG version adds 780 pounds to the weight of the vehicle. At the time, Ram chief Fred Diaz denied that Ram was making a CNG capable engine, which was true as far as production vehicles went but not as far as prototypes were concerned.
